Suncoast AI is a technology company developing Agent Finch, a framework for the next generation of AI agents. Instead of mountains of compute, we believe that effective, lean, multimodal agents can be trained and finetuned at a bargain, if you have the right task curriculum and agent architecture.
Our Insight
Given the incredible competence of frontier models in code, it is unreasonable that training cutting-edge models is still so data-inefficient. A human can change his life and life outlook entirely from a single conversation, just by thinking through its implications. We believe that modern models are ready to also take charge of their own training in this way. Our goal is to bootstrap active learning for multimodal models, based on a core of simple concepts in the Physical domain; after a critical point, if the inference phase found something "surprising", the training phase can automatically learn the relevant skill by extrapolating training data for itself. We have evidence that this approach will ultimately lead to smaller, more performant models trained much faster than current standard, industry approaches.
Applications
While we are still in the experimental phase, we believe this technology can revolutionize AI agents, especially in any field that deals with physical objects. Much of our training and testing takes place in game environments; a robotic test stand is currently under development.
